- 1/4 cup hot espresso or strong coffee
- 1 to 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- pinch ground cinnamon, plus extra for topping
- 3/4 cup steamed milk (dairy or plant-based)
Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of ground cinnamon to the bottom of a wide mug. Pour in the hot espresso or strong coffee, then stir well until everything is evenly mixed.
Hold the mug at a 45˚ angle and slowly pour the steamed milk into the center to fill the mug, ensuring to add a thin layer of the milk foam on top for a classic finish. I find that pouring slowly helps create a smooth, frothy layer.
Sprinkle a little extra ground cinnamon on top for garnish if desired, and serve the drink immediately while hot.
