- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds (amount to taste)
- grated fresh ginger root (quantity as preferred)
Add the chia seeds, water, apple juice, and grated fresh ginger root to a glass. Stir well to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed and the ingredients are fully combined.
Transfer the chia fresca mixture to the fridge and let it chill for 15 minutes. This allows the chia seeds to soak up the liquid and expand, forming a lightly gelled texture.
After chilling, give the chia fresca a good stir, as the chia seeds may have settled at the bottom of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy! I sometimes add an extra splash of apple juice on top if I want a sweeter flavor.
